Choosing a childcare provider for your little one is a major decision. It's only natural that you and your family would have questions. That's why we've compiled some of our most frequently asked questions and their answers for you right here.   • AT WHAT AGE CAN MY CHILD START DAYCARE?

    We provide care for children as young as six weeks old in our babies' room.

  • WILL YOU LET ME KNOW MY CHILD'S PROGRESS?

    Yes, of course! Our educators will provide regular updates through a digital platform called Storypark, where you can view photos, daily stories and other aspects of your child's progress. Our educators are always free for discussions if you'd like to ask questions or find out more.

  • DO YOU HAVE A KINDERGARTEN CLASS?

    Yes, we do. Our kindergarten program is approved by the Queensland Government and delivered by a university-trained, ACECQA-approved early childhood teacher.

  • DO THE CHILDREN RECEIVE MEALS?

    We ask families to pack a healthy lunchbox for their children with morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Please speak with C2C team members if you are looking for some lunchbox ideas.

  • ARE NAPPIES PROVIDED FOR BABIES AND TODDLERS?

    Yes, nappies, wipes and sunscreen are all provided.

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF MY SCHEDULED DAY FALLS ON A PUBLIC HOLIDAY?

    Cradle to Crayons, along with many other providers in the sector, closes for public holidays. If your scheduled booked day falls on a public holiday, fees will still apply as staff and operating costs still need to be covered. The Australian Government's Child Care Subsidy (CCS) covers up to 42 allowable absence days a year, including public holidays.

  • DO I STILL NEED TO PAY FOR A SCHEDULED DAY IF MY CHILD IS SICK?

    Yes, fees still apply for sick days. The Australian Government's Child Care Subsidy (CCS) will cover up to 42 absence days a year with no documentation and unlimited sick days if you're able to provide a medical certificate or similar evidence.

  • WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE GO ON HOLIDAY?

    Normal fees apply for all absences (including Public Holidays) that fall on a booked day.

  • WHAT IS THE CHILD CARE SUBSIDY?

    The Childcare Subsidy is an Australian Government payment that reduces families' out-of-pocket costs for childcare. For more information, click here

  • WHERE CAN I FIND MY CHILD'S IMMUNISATION HISTORY STATEMENT?

    You can get your child's Immunisation History Statement by accessing your Medicare online account through myGov.

    Or by using the Express Plus Medicare Mobile App 


    Additonally, You can call the Australian Immunisation Register and ask for an immunisation history statement to be sent to you. It may take up to two weeks to arrive in the post.

  • WHAT IF MY CHILD HAS A MEDICAL CONDITION?

    If your child has a medical condition, you will be asked to supply a Medical Action Plan upon enrolment. 


    A Medical Action Plan is a document, prepared by and signed by your child's doctor, that describes symptoms, causes, and clear instructions on action and treatment for the child's specific condition and includes the child's name and photograph.
